We understand that not everyone is tech-savvy, and that's perfectly okay! Setting up your online store on Bakesale is a breeze, even if you consider yourself IT illiterate. In just 10 minutes, you'll have your store up and running, ready to showcase your baked delights. If you encounter any difficulties, rest assured, we're here to guide you through every step.

Step 1: Log into Your Bakesale Account

We've made logging in a breeze by allowing you to use your Google account. No need to remember passwords! Just go to https://bakesale.com.au/bakers on your device, and you're likely already logged in. If not, simply click "Log in" and use your Google account.

Step 2: Start Your Store Setup

Enter your Store Name—use your ABN or registered business name if you have one. For example, "Mary Bakes" (no weird symbols needed here). Click "Add."

Step 3: Welcome to Your Store Dashboard

Your left-hand side tabs are your guide. Red crosses and green ticks indicate required fields. Start with the essentials: Certification, Insurance, ABN, and other critical information. Each field has clear instructions to assist you.

Step 4: Personalise Your Store

This is where Bakesale gets fun! Add your logo, a banner, a store description, a photo of yourself (yes, really!), your baker bio, and a curatable Gallery to showcase your baking and style. Don't worry about technicalities; just choose your favourite pictures. The Gallery automatically arranges them beautifully.

Step 5: Set Your Location

Let customers know your location. We've made it easy – your exact street address is only visible to buyers selecting pickup orders.

Step 6: Set Delivery Options

Choose how you'd like to handle deliveries: pickup, courier (local delivery), or postage. You can select one or multiple. Local Pickup is the default for all stores.

Step 7: Review and Publish

Once you've filled out all required fields, publish your store and it will be submitted for approval. We'll vet your store for certification status and ensure you're representing yourself well. While your store is being reviewed, you can add or modify photos, products, or descriptions.

Step 9: Add Products

This is the exciting part! Once you add a product with a price on Bakesale, you're officially selling. It's that easy!
